In a world overflowing with elaborate toys and bustling activities, sometimes the most joyful moments come from the simplest of pleasures. This is certainly true for Peso, a delightful 9-year-old Cavashan whose favorite pastime is as uncomplicated as it is charming. Peso has found an unusual yet endearing favorite toy—a shoe. While many dogs might gravitate towards squeaky toys or plush creatures, Peso’s choice reflects a unique personality and a playful spirit that reminds us that happiness doesn’t always come in the form we expect. Shoes, with their intriguing textures and scents, provide endless entertainment and a perfect outlet for Peso’s curiosity. Yet, it’s not just play that fills Peso’s days. Like many dogs, one of Peso’s greatest joys is the simple act of sleeping. After a vigorous play session with that beloved shoe, snuggling up for a cozy nap becomes the highlight of their day. This ability to find comfort in restful moments is a gentle reminder for us all to slow down and appreciate life’s quieter times. Peso’s story underscores the beauty of companionship and the simple joys that define our pets. Whether it’s their quirky choices in toys or their love for lounging, dogs like Peso teach us to embrace simplicity and find joy in everyday moments. In a fast-paced world, perhaps we could all learn a thing or two from our four-legged friends about the importance of play and the art of relaxation.

Hi, my name is Jeniya. I am 17. I am a Senior here at JVA. I have yet to go anywhere out of Colorado. I love to style hair, and I love to look at the colors you can dye your hair. Being creative is something that I love, whether that is participating in school news or finding new ways to cut and style my hair, it all works for me. I love to volunteer for my church, one of my favorite things to do is work with young kids and watch them grow. Something else I love to do is Tent Camping.
