What’s up everyone! It’s Noah again—and I just saw Mickey 17 in theaters, and it’s as wild and philosophical as sci-fi gets. Directed by Bong Joon-ho (yes, the Parasite guy), this movie stars Robert Pattinson as a guy who’s basically a disposable clone sent on dangerous missions for a space colony. If he dies, a new version of him wakes up with most of his memories.
Sounds crazy, right? It is. But in a good way.
The film is super stylish, visually amazing, and actually makes you think about stuff like identity, purpose, and whether being “you” is even real if there are versions of you waking up after every death. Pattinson really kills it—he plays both Mickey 17 and Mickey 18, and it’s cool watching the conflict between versions of the same person.
Some parts of the plot are a little out there and slow at times, but that’s kind of what you expect with big-concept sci-fi.
Final Verdict: If you’re into movies that make your brain spin and look incredible while doing it, go check this one out on the big screen.
