Hello everyone, my name is Tanner, and I just watched one of the movies that was suggested to me to review. The movie is “Thunderbolts*”. I will admit this movie caught me off guard. It had all the cheesy action scenes that I thought it would, but it also had an emotional effect on me.
The movie starts with Yelena in a fight with multiple people at once, but they make the mistake of taking turns fighting someone who was trained to be an expert assassin when she was a child. Yelena makes it out of the fight, and the movie continues. Later in the movie, after Yelena was trapped in a bunker and won another fight, Bob is introduced. Bob ends up having no recollection of any memories of how he ended up in the bunker. After they escape from the lower level of the bunker and start fighting a strike team, it is revealed that Bob had superpowers. Bob flies straight up for a couple of seconds and then stops. He looks down and passes out because he is afraid of heights. He smashes into the ground, creating a massive shockwave. Yelena and her group end up escaping, and the scene changes to Bob being captured, put in a box, and transported by helicopter. Bob wakes up to find himself in a bed with an old lady (Valentina) sitting next to the bed. Valentia manipulates Bob into turning to the dark side and helps him master his powers. Just before the big fight, in the end, Bob is tased and presumed dead. A couple of minutes later, it is revealed that Bob got even more powerful, but wait a sec. It’s not Bob. Well, not exactly. It still is Bo,b except for the fact that he is a shadow figure. Bob’s shadow starts vaporizing people and trapping them inside their shameful thoughts. During the big fight, Yelena’s father saves a little girl from a falling piece of debris. Bob’s Shadow sees that and vaporizes the little girl. Yelena sees this and chooses to get vaporized. When Yelena is vaporized, she isn’t dead. Instead, she gets trapped inside her shameful thoughts. The fight continues inside Yelena’s head, along with the original Bob fighting his dark side. Bob’s dark side gets defeated, and everyone who was vaporized is returned to the point where they were vaporized. The city has suffered massive damage caused by the fight. Valentina, who is one of the mainvillainss sneaks into a press conference and acts as if everyone was originally part of the team. Yelena whispers into Valentina’s ear, and the movie ends.
My thoughts on this movie were pretty good. I loved the magnitude of the destruction. There weren’t too many fight scenes, and my expectations of a movie from 2025 were exceeded.
